KUWG at Atos Neasden, Thursday 4 September — a photographic record

Going nowhere fast?
Members of Kilburn Unemployed Workers Group demonstrated outside Atos Neasden — which shares premises with Neasden Jobcentre — last Thursday and engaged with members of the public.

For many disabled and seriously ill benefit claimants, being declared unfit for work and unfit for 'work-related-activity' is a liberation rather than an incarceration. People in the Employment & Support Allowance 'Support Group' do not have to face the threat of sanctions for failing to comply with conditionality that they have been trapped into agreeing with.

Meanwhile, the corporate and complicit ethoses of the Department for Work & Pensions and the Atos company that assesses people's fitness for work and work-related activity are at odds with words attributed to the Statue of Liberty.

Present tension? Future uncertain? Stick together — or disintegrate

Stick together — or disintegrate!

Make sure you have supporting documentation with you at all your trials
A person accompanying you to Atos is essential, and can provide personal testimony to support you at a later tribunal if necessary.

More to follow shortly....
